At the end of the 2004 series, Kamen Rider Blade, the main character, Kenzaki, gives up his humanity so that his friend, Hajime, can live among humans. Hajime looks into the distance wondering where Kenzaki is, as he watches a seabird in flight, flying far, far away from him, implying this bird was Kenzaki. Despite the mournful nature of this scene, I found myself jealous of Kenzaki. Here was a man that became more than just human, who could become a beautiful, wild creature.
